Developed by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., this behavioral therapy method teaches four modules of skills: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotional Regulation, and Distress Tolerance. I have co-lead a group at New Perspectives Counseling Center since September, 2016. Linehan originally developed DBT to treat Borderline Personality Disorder. It is applied to many other populations as well and can be very effective.

By developing better emotional regulation and awareness of one’s self you can “live a life worth living” which is their motto.
